Chelsea's main aim in the transfer window is to offload players from their squad so the club can balance its books, manager Enzo Maresca said on Tuesday.

Chelsea boosted their chances of European football next season, thumping West Ham 5-0 in the Premier League, with Cole Palmer, Conor Gallagher, Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson, with two, all getting on the scoresheet on Sunday.

If the decision lay with the fans, Gallagher would be going absolutely nowhere.

The England international scored twice after Chelsea had fallen behind to Jefferson Lerma's opener, before Enzo Fernandez's 94th-minute goal sealed the victory.
