The HC on Thursday declared the 16th constitutional amendment as illegal, unconstitutional and against the principles of the separation of powers between the various organs of the state and the independence of the judiciary.

The draft of a law, determining specific rules for removal of Supreme Court judges on grounds of incapacity and misbehaviour to be placed in the upcoming budget session of parliament for its passage, the law minister said.

SOON the Government of India would table the 119th Constitutional Amendment Bill to bring the revised India Bangladesh Land Boundary Agreement (LBA) into force.
