Thousands of commuters suffered immensely in Chattogram city yesterday as a section of bus owners and workers enforced a sudden strike, protesting the jailing of three of their fellows by a mobile court the day before.

Commuters in Chattogram city have been suffering immensely as owners and workers of bus, minibus and local human hauler refrained from plying vehicles on the roads.

Chattogram’s road communication with nine districts was nearly cut off for about 10 hours due to a strike enforced by a group of transport owners, causing daylong suffering to thousands of people yesterday.
