The very severe cyclonic storm Mocha over east central Bay and adjoining areas moved north-northeast wards, and intensified over northeast Bay and adjoining areas

Cyclone Sitrang has affected 33,000 hectares of transplanted Aman paddy crop and washed away fish and shrimps mainly in the southern coastal districts, officials said yesterday.  

At least 10 villages in Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali, a coastal area in Bangladesh, have been flooded after two dams damaged due to severe cyclone Fani.
