Fresh threat is looming over flash flood-affected district of Moulvibazar from the north with the surging Kushiyara River gradually weakening its embankment.

Water Resources Minister Anisul Islam Mahmud claims that the haor regions in different parts of the country, especially the northwest, have been submerged due to heavy rains, not for the damage to any dam.
