Patients from now on can get their dengue tests at Tk 50 instead of Tk 100 in all public hospitals across the country.

The National Board of Revenue has withdrawn import duty, value-added tax, advance tax and advance income tax on dengue test kits, dengue test reagents and test kits for platelet and plasma.

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) withdraws till October 31 all the taxes previously imposed on importing dengue fever detection kits and reagents.

The High Court has asked the government to monitor whether the hospitals charge extra from people who are going to test for dengue fever.
