The fourth instalment of the beloved series sees Steve Carell return as the reformed supervillain Gru, now facing off against Will Ferrell’s character Maxime Le Mal, an old schoolmate turned adversary.

“Despicable Me 4” is set to hit the theatres across the globe today, July 3, including the United States. There is good news for fans in Bangladesh — the film will also debut at Star Cineplex on the same day. 

Some things about this summer’s slate of movies feel similar – namely, a lot of sequels on offer – while other elements feel a bit different, like the lingering hangover from last year’s twin strikes that brought movie production to a months-long standstill. Nevertheless, there are more than a few characters sure to distract from that with their showy antics, some masked and mouthy (here’s looking at you, Deadpool) and others aiming to turn our emotions ‘Inside Out’ all over again.

Universal and Illumination have dropped the much-anticipated trailer for "Despicable Me 4”, reuniting fans with the lovable Gru and the mischievous Minions. Scheduled for release on July 3, 2024, the latest instalment in the animated franchise promises a fresh adventure for Gru, voiced by Steve Carell.

Many films originally due next year have now been pushed back to 2025 - including Tom Cruise's next “Mission: Impossible”, and Disney's live action “Snow White”.
