Dhaka city dwellers wake up to heavy showers as the capital witnesses 19 millimetre rain in three hours.

With many streets and roads under ankle to knee-deep water, commuters in the capital faced immense struggle as torrential rain hit Dhaka yesterday and continued till afternoon.

Dhaka city commuters yesterday suffered immensely due to severe traffic congestion as students of seven colleges affiliated with Dhaka University barricaded the busy Nilkhet intersection for more than nine hours from 9:00am, demanding publication of exam results.
