Young filmmaker Nuhash Humayun has carved out a niche for himself in the horror genre. At a recent event organised by the Dhaka University Film Society, he opened up about his journey as a filmmaker, the challenges of making horror films in Bangladesh, and his ambitions for the international stage.

Iconic movies like "Golapi Ekhon Traine", "Hawa", "Behula", "Manikbabur Megh", ‘"Once Upon a Time in Calcutta", "Banchharamer Bagan" have been screened so far. Like every year, the festival has received huge response from audiences and has had houseful shows since day one.

To promote Bangla cinema to a larger audience, the largest film festival of Bangla language ‘Amar Bhashar Chalachchitra 1429’, organized by Dhaka University Film Society (DUFS), will take place at the TSC premises of Dhaka University from February 5 to 9.
