Omar Faruk, a young freedom fighter, leaves his home during the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971 to earn freedom for his beloved land. Before leaving his house, he promised his mother that he would return to her and have a meal together.

Liberation War-based short film, “Omar Faruk er Ma”—which revolves around the freedom fighter, Omar Faruk and his mother—will be screened in various districts and upazilas on the occasion of Victory Day. The film will have its world premiere on BTV and BTV World at 5:25 pm the following day, December 17.
