Awami League President Sheikh Hasina yesterday cancelled the AL nominations for Disaster Management Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya and incumbent Mohammed Shamsul Hoque Bhuiyan of Chandpur, AL sources said.

The High Court has fixed October 7 for delivering judgement on the appeal filed by Relief and Disaster Management Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya against his conviction and sentencing in a graft case.
