Initially, Sony Pictures were signed to make the film with actress Anne Hathaway and Amy Schumer, but the project eventually landed to Warner Bros, starring actress Margot Robbie who will play Barbie opposite to actor Ryan Gosling as Ken in the upcoming movie.
