Abahani players and officials broke out into wild celebrations after Tanjim Ahmed struck the runs that clinched the club's 22nd Dhaka Premier League (DPL) title following a four-wicket win over defending champions Sheikh Jamal in the final round of Super League games in Mirpur yesterday.

Mohammedan batter Soumya managed to come out of his batting slump as he scored a century in his side’s last match of the Dhaka Premier League 2023 season at the BKSP-3 Ground on Saturday. 

Mahidul Islam Ankon was star performer for Mohammedan as he smashed a run-a-ball unbeaten 125 to help his side amass 276 for six. The Motijheel outfit then dismissed Shinepukur for 224 runs

Mohammedan Sporting Club registered their second win of the ongoing Dhaka Premier League season as they beat Agrani Bank Cricket Club by 39 runs at the BKSP-4 Ground on Wednesday. 

Bangladesh Test and T20I skipper Shakib Al Hasan is known for juggling several commitments, often at the same time, and his latest endeavour saw him take a helicopter to Dhaka from Savar after he helped Mohammedan Sporting Club win their first match of the ongoing Dhaka Premier League 2023 against defending champions Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club at the BKSP-3 ground Saturday.
