Jessore police claims of recovering two bullet-hit bodies of drug peddlers in Monirampur upazila of the district early this morning.

A ward councillor of Teknaf municipality and local Awami League leader was killed in what Rab claimed was a “gunfight” between the elite force and drug peddlers in Cox's Bazar early yesterday.

Nine more suspected drug dealers are killed in reported gunfights in Dhaka, Mymensingh, Sherpur, Gaibandha, Netrokona, Comilla and Cox's Bazar districts, taking the death toll in “encounter” to 61 in eleven days.
