Eight years after their re-affiliation, Dhaka University and its seven affiliated colleges have decided to sever ties.

At least 20 students from both sides were injured while the two sides chased each other

"If our demands are not met by 4:00pm, we will announce a tougher course of action"

The college students began protesting in the evening and it soon led to a stand-off between them and DU students late into the night
