In a year marked by financial uncertainty, five banks in Bangladesh have emerged as beacons of resilience and trust. Islami Bank, already a leader in the sector, has been joined by BRAC Bank, City Bank, Pubali Bank, and Dutch-Bangla Bank in reaching the coveted Tk 2,000 crore milestone in operating profit.

Dutch-Bangla Bank Ltd (DBBL) is going to invest in a digital bank and form two subsidiaries in order to expand business in capital market, the bank said today.

They are Brac Bank, City, Dutch-Bangla, Eastern, NCC, Premier and Mercantile

No bank in Bangladesh has ever made so much profit in a year

Dutch-Bangla Bank Ltd posted an 11.80 per cent year-on-year increase in profit to Tk 125.24 crore in the first quarter of the current financial year.

The six banks are Standard Chartered Bangladesh, Brac Bank, Dutch-Bangla Bank, The City Bank, Southeast Bank and Prime Bank.
