Director Joy Sarkar has accused actress Eamin Haque Bobby of failing to fulfill her commitment to act in a film after receiving her payment.

This Eid-ul-Azha, Eamin Haque Bobby starrer film “Moyurakkhi” was released nationwide. Shortly after, the actress expressed disappointment in her portrayal, claiming it did not match what was promised. She also accused the film’s director, Rashid Polash, of not paying her full remuneration.

The charges against Bobby and Bashar include “assault with intent to murder causing serious injury, theft, damage, and intimidation.” The complaint also noted that the YN Center suffered damages worth Tk 150,000 and thefts amounting to Tk 100,000, which are yet to be recovered.

This Eid-ul-Azha, Rashid Polash's second film, “Moyurakkhi”, is set to premiere exclusively at Star Cineplex, Jamuna Blockbuster, and Lion Cinemas starting tomorrow.

As Eid-ul-Azha approaches on June 17, 2024, film enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the seasonal cinematic offerings. For cinema halls, this period is a vital one, as it brings a surge in audience numbers.

This Eid-ul-Azha, it is almost certain that three films will hit the silver screens—“Toofan”, “Moyurakkhi” and “Revenge”. These films feature three ace actresses -- Shobnom Bubly, Eamin Haque Bobby and Indian actress Mimi Chakraborty.

The film's poster and a 30-second teaser have already been released, garnering praise from viewers. The teaser depicts a dramatic scene where a pilot pleads for help during an airplane hijacking.

Eamin Haque Bobby is gearing up for a return soon. She was last seen in “Paap”, where her role as an ACP officer was embraced well, despite the outcome of the film. As a producer, she has an assortment of genres under her belt, including the superhero film “Bizli”.

"Moyurakkhi," directed by Rashid Polash, is all set to release in September. Starring Eamin Haque Bobby and Sudip Biswas Deep in lead roles, the film revolves around the story of love and betrayal.

Noted actress Bobby has been spending quite a busy time, shooting for  her upcoming projects. The actress is currently residing in London for the shoot of her new film, “Beiman”.  Helmed by “Before I Die” famed director Minhaj Kibriyah, the actress will be busy shooting the film for the next 18 days.
