State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid today (October 25, 2022) said 70 percent power supply of the coastal areas, affected by Cyclone Sitrang was restored this evening and 100 percent will be restored within tomorrow (October 26, 2022) noon.

IT is indeed heartening to see 1500 MW of electricity being added in the next three months to the country's power-starved national grid, as we hope that the newest addition will give the much-needed impetus to the country's economic growth.

The government will provide new electricity connections to 1.21 crore people within this year by setting up 3.23 lakh kilometres of transmission line and 650 sub-stations, says State Minister for Power Nasrul Hamid Bipu.
