Adapted from Rabindranath Tagore’s classic short story, “Denapaona” marks Emon’s feature film after a good while. Dighi was confirmed as the lead character, Nirupama, at the start of the year. Emon officially joined the cast this week and announced that filming is scheduled to begin next month.

Based on the naval-sector operated guerrilla operations during the Liberation War, the film also stars Ananta Jalil, Emon, Nirab, Roshan, Shipon, Sajnu Jon, Joy Chowdhury, Amit Hasan, Pallob, Ishtiaque Ahmed Rumel, Nipun, Nader Chowdhury, Shahidul Alam Sachchu, Danny Sidak, Ilias Kanchan, Kazi Hayat, Omar Sani, and Misha Sawdagar among others.

Operation Jackpot stands as a significant chapter in the history of Bangladesh's Liberation War. The story of courage displayed in this guerrilla operation by the naval sector is on its way to being adapted for the silver screen. The cinematic depiction, titled “Operation Jackpot”, is set to be funded by the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs.

Today two films, “Payer Chhap” directed by Saiful Islam Mannu, and “Kagoj” directed by Ali Zulfikar Zahedi will be released in a combined total of 18 theatres across the country. “Payer Chhap” will be released in 11 theatres, while “Kagoj” will be released in seven. 

Popular actors Emon and Monalisa have paired up for Eid special single-episode TV play “Mister Perfectionist”. This is the second time the duo will be seen together on the small screen.

Emon is coming back to the world of TV Dramas with his latest work, titled “Ucchotoro Beboharik Shikkha”, which is scheduled to hit the screens this Eid.

Emon, who started his journey in the world of entertainment through television, has not been seen regularly on the small screen.

Over the last few years, Emon has established himself as a formidable leading man of the silver screen.
