Construction of Patuakhali EPZ to begin soon

Trade union in EPZs gets nod
The cabinet yesterday finally gave the nod to the draft Bangladesh EPZ Labour Law 2016, with provisions for forming legal trade unions in factories inside of the Export Processing Zones (EPZ).

EPZs may get trade unions; draft law approved
Cabinet gives final approval to the draft of the ‘The Bangladesh EPZ Labour Law, 2016’ keeping a provision for constituting labour organisations in the Export Processing Zones (EPZs) as well as forming a permanent wage board for their workers.
