Being held this year at Purbachal’s Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre, the Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) brings merchants from across the country and around the globe. And with the curtains about to be drawn on the month-long fair on 20 February, let us take a look at some of the best this fair has on offer.

Babuibela’s third edition was launched on the first day of DLF. The Babuibela (Mayurpankhi, 2020) series, written and illustrated by artist Reesham Shahab Tirtho, are picture books showing new parents’ journeys with their little ones. The book launch was also accompanied by a discussion between illustrator Tirtho and musician, artist and author Shibu Kumer Shill.

Bengal Boi has been hosting their spring fair, Fagun Shomirone, at their premises in Dhanmondi, Dhaka, which is due to end on Saturday, February 26.

The ruling Awami League has claimed that the union parishad election was held in a free, spontaneous, and transparent manner while its political opponent BNP termed the polls “farcical under a partisan Election Commission”.
