Questions about his imminent appointment as Liverpool manager are becoming a drag for Dutchman Arne Slot as he prepares to lead Feyenoord through the final weeks of the season.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told Arne Slot he will be getting the "best job in the world" if the Feyenoord boss succeeds the German at Anfield.

The Algemeen Dagblad newspaper said Liverpool made contact with Feyenoord on Wednesday morning.
