Eminent film director, powerful actor and writer Amjad Hossain is laid to eternal rest at his home district in Jamalpur.

Final tributes were paid to the late director Amjad Hossain at Dhaka's Central Shaheed Minar from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm yesterday.

Amjad Hossain's demise left an irrevocable void in Bangladesh's film industry. His films, many of which were classics, paved the way for many artistes to attain greater fame and go on to win national awards. On his departure, stars who had the fortune of working with him, spoke to The Daily Star about the beloved artiste.
