Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep shock over the loss of many lives and injuries sustained by many in a tragic fire incident at BM Container Depot in Sitakunda upazila of Chattogram.

Remains of two more bodies were recovered from two separate spots at Sitakunda’s BM Container Depot where a series of explosions happened since the fire broke out on June 4, 2022 night.

Legal action over the fire, explosion at BM Container Depot in Chattogram’s Sitakunda will be taken after all probe committees submit their reports.

After 60 hours, the Bangladesh Army claimed to have brought the deadly fire at Sitakunda BM Container Depot under control.

The fire at BM Container Depot, in Sitakunda upazila of Chattogram, is still not completely under control.

Although it has been almost 17 hours since the fire started at BM Container Depot at Sitakunda in Chattogram, the blaze is yet to come under control. Explosions can still be heard.

Students of Chittagong University today rushed to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) to donate blood to those injured in the fire at BM Container Depot in Sitakunda upazila of Chattogram.
