Geetikobi Shongho Bangladesh yesterday announced its freshly formed executive committee for the 2024-26 term by appointing Asif Iqbal as president and Joy Shahriar as general secretary. 

For the first time in his long and illustrious musical career, legendary band musician Foad Nasser Babu has lent his voice to a duet, titled “Bhalobasha Betha Pele”. 

The film features an ensemble cast, including well-known actors such as Tariq Anam Khan, Arman Parvez Murad, Lutfur Rahman George, Shadhin Khasru, Faruque Ahmed, Shabnam Parvin, Ejajul Islam, Jamil, Pran Roy, and Shohel Mondol.

Shafin Ahmed, the legendary figure in the music industry, was laid to rest atop his father's burial site, with the grave of his mother renowned singer Firoza Begum nearby. 

Vocalist Fahmida Nabi's songs tend to signify something unique. Over the years, she has presented various new songs. This time around the National Film Award-winning singer has lent her voice to a patriotic song.

Veteran singer Runa Laila is set to sing a patriotic song titled “Bangladesh” featuring 100 children from the Bangladesh Shishu Academy, adding more significance to the special day.
