A class IX student at Dhaka Residential Model College, Nafiz Azad Prithibi along with his mother, started a food stall at Ring Road, Mohammadpur on 18 September. Later, he moved the business to a small food cart on the lane just beside Suchona Community Center.

The couple – Emu Akter and Fasiur Rahman, married for six years – started this business not out of necessity but out of passion for the food they cook.

In a shocking development, Dhaka South City Corporation has allowed a private entity to construct a food court at the historic Bahadur Shah Park -- much to the dismay of locals and eminent citizens.
