In a bid to create that bridge, Standard Chartered Bangladesh (SCB) and Friendship have jointly arranged a photo exhibition to give a glimpse of the people living in sedimentary islands (chars).

For more than two decades, Friendship has been a non-profit organisation dedicated to preserving the cultural heritage of Bangladesh by empowering communities and promoting sustainable livelihoods. They have been leading the charge to protect and promote the country's distinct heritage through their Friendship Cultural Preservation programme.

Artists from India and Bangladesh embarked on a journey from Dhaka to Gaibandha, from 4 to 12 March, to exchange ideas on art, celebrate womanhood, freedom, and equality. The Preema Arte Foundation in Dhaka organised the programme, which was conceived by Shoilpik Shammota and supported by the Kerala Lalitkala Academy and the Kekeyellam Foundation from India, as well as the Friendship Cultural Preservation and the Friendship Colours of the Chars, concerns of Friendship NGO, from Bangladesh.
