The National University (NU) has removed ruling Awami League MP Manzurul Islam Liton from the president post of three colleges’ managing committees after allegedly shooting a 10-year-old boy in Gaibandha last week.

A minor boy in Sundarganj of Gaibandha was shot and wounded in both legs, reportedly by a local member of parliament, on Friday.

Victim’s father sues Gaibandha-1 ruling Awami League lawmaker Manzurul Islam Liton for attempting to murder his 10-year-old son Sourav Mia. Meanwhile, the MP has surrendered his licensed firearms to a police station.
