Billie Eilish made a surprise appearance on stage with Green Day yesterday to kick off one of two star-studded concerts in Los Angeles put together to raise funds for people affected by deadly wildfires in California this month.

Green Day's punk rock agenda resurfaced with fervour at their Washington DC concert, stirring controversy by once again targeting former President Donald Trump. The band, known for its defiant political stance, took centre stage on Monday with frontman Billie Joe Armstrong branding Trump an “idiot” during their performance.

The lead vocalist, Billie Joe Armstrong, altered the lyrics to the band's 2004 hit “American Idiot”, prompting a wave of reactions on social media. The controversial lyric change, “I'm not a part of the MAGA agenda,” replaced the original line, “I'm not a part of a redneck agenda.”
