Bangladesh now has 215 LEED-certified factories

Bangladesh now not only has the most green garment factories but yesterday also became home to a textile factory which scored the highest rating of United Stated Green Building Council. 

Green Textile Limited Unit 4, a joint concern of Epic Group and Envoy Legacy of Bangladesh, scored 104 out of 110, highest in the globe

Two more Bangladeshi garment factories have been awarded with the green garment factory certificate in gold category for their outstanding initiatives to save environment and compliances.

Green garment factory owners, who have spent billions of dollars for setting up the units, are left frustrated as the international retailers are not rewarding them with higher prices for the initiative.
