The Bangladesh Bank yesterday asked banks to take measures to transfer the funds related to the expenditures of aspirant Hajj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.

It is very inopportune that pilgrims, who perform hajj with so much hope, not to say spending so much money, have to suffer at every step during the journey due to mismanagement and irresponsibility.

Saudi Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Asheikh, also the chairman of the Saudi Council of Senior Scholars, criticises those planning to perform Hajj through unfair means.
