Leading the lineup is veteran actor John Lithgow, who takes on the pivotal role of Albus Dumbledore, following the footsteps of Richard Harris and Michael Gambon, who portrayed the Hogwarts headmaster in the film franchise.

On Thursday, Max shared the news on X (formerly Twitter) with the post: "Wands at the ready. The upcoming HBO Original Series, #HarryPotter, will be filming at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden with production starting in summer 2025 and premiering on Max."

In regards to the Harry Potter universe, many fans have expressed their interest to see the story of the Marauders or a prequel about the Hogwarts founders.
