The first phase of Jor Ijtema began in Tongi Biswa Ijtema Maidan in Gazipur yesterday.

Amid the confrontational situation between two factions of Tabligh Jamaat, one group says they do not see peace without division in the Islamic group and separate arrangement of Ijtema and other activities.

The second phase of Biswa Ijtema, the largest congregation of the Muslims in the world, is continuing today amid sermons being delivered in Tongi on Dhaka’s outskirt.
