This 16th edition of IFFM will be held from August 14 to 24, with a centenary tribute to the legendary Ritwik Ghatak headlining its programming. Ghatak’s evocative portrayals of partition, displacement and identity redefined the language of Indian filmmaking.

The Bangladeshi film "Agantuk" (The Stranger) has been chosen to screen at the 15th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) in Australia. Directed by Biplob Sarkar, the film is a collaborative effort with co-producers Rammya Rahim Choudhury, Tazul Haque and himself. This esteemed festival, taking place from August 15 to 25, will showcase the freshest films from across the subcontinent.

The Bangladeshi feature film “Mathar Bhethor Apple Gachh” (An Apple Tree Inside The Head) is set to have its world premiere in Melbourne, Australia. The film has been officially selected for the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM), where it will be screened for the first time on August 21.

Earlier on, "Pett Kata Shaw" was screened at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam in February. This time, the series has made its way into the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, all set to enumour the audience with Bangladeshi folk tales.
