The foreign ministry summoned Indian High Commissioner in Bangladesh Pranay Verma and handed a protest note yesterday, a day after the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala was attacked by protesters of the Hindu Sangharsh Samity.

Outgoing Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Riva Ganguly Das today proposed restoration of air connectivity with Bangladesh, following the months-long cancellation of air services with the neighboring country due to the Covid-19 outbreak since April.
