The Indian High Commission in Bangladesh has returned nearly 20,000 passports of Bangladeshi visa applicants due to protests and security concerns, according to reports from Indian media.

In response to the huge surge in the demand for Indian visas during the holy month of Ramadan, the Indian High Commission has taken additional steps to facilitate visa applicants.

A new integrated state-of-the-art Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) to be inaugurated at the Jamuna Future Park in Dhaka.

Applicants for Indian tourist visa from Rajshahi and Rangpur can walk-in and submit their applications at Indian Visa Application Centres (IVAC) in the districts without a prior appointment from September 10, 2017 onward.
