Broadband users will not have to pay any bill in a month if their internet connection remains down for three consecutive days, said the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).

The number of active internet connections in the country soared by 738,000 last month to reach 99,984,000, very close to the 10-crore landmark, according to the statistics published by Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).

The number of active internet connections in Bangladesh hit 9.05 crore in August thanks to the addition of about 18 lakh new connections to the network in a month.
