Batsmen Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan on Monday returned to India's central contract list after a year's absence, the cricket board said, while wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant was promoted to Grade A.

The left-handed Kishan stood out as he hammered a ton in 45 balls to pummel the opposition attack after Travis Head smashed 67 off 31 deliveries in the second match of the league that began Saturday.

“Kishan and Iyer are likely to be excluded from that list, as both haven't been playing domestic cricket despite the BCCI's diktat to do so,” Times of India quoted a source

Kishan, 25, has an ODI best of 210 in 25 matches, but a recent 82 against Pakistan in the Asia Cup won him rich praise from the cricketing fraternity including former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar who called him a "big match player"
