Fans of “Jab We Met” received an unexpected treat at the IIFA 2025 press conference in Jaipur on Saturday. Celebrities gathered in the city to commemorate the award show's 25th anniversary.

Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil is set to make his Bollywood debut. Having gained worldwide recognition for his performances in “Pushpa: The Rise” and “Pushpa 2: The Rule,” this Southern star is now ready to showcase his acting prowess in India’s biggest film industry. 

Following its debut at the 67th BFI London Film Festival in 2023, the Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer much-awaited film “The Buckingham Murders” is gearing up for its Indian theatrical release this September. Last Tuesday, the filmmakers released a teaser for the gripping crime thriller, featuring Kareena Kapoor as a detective unravelling the mystery behind a child's murder.

Director Imtiaz Ali has spoken about how he treats male characters in his films differently from female characters. Speaking with Times of India, Imtiaz said that those male characters are not directly derived from his life experiences. He added that he does credit "greater intelligence and resilience to women".

Two iconic films from this era, "Casablanca" (1942) and "Gone with the Wind" (1939), exemplify the themes of love, sacrifice, and resilience amidst adversity. The iconic Bollywood romantic-comedy "Jab We Met", starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor, released in 2007, continues to capture hearts and is cherished by fans to this day. Amidst constant demands from fans for a sequel, it seems that the long-awaited "Jab We Met 2" might finally be taking shape.

Despite her lack of dominance in the industry, Kapoor's characters are still kept in the loop by youngsters who are getting around to watching films like “Jab We Met” or “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham”.

His wife Mira Kapoor has made the occasion into a celebratory affair, arranging a party with their close friends and families.

Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali has taken a keen interest in promoting adman Bauddhayan Mukherji's feature debut "Teenkahon".
