Hollywood stars Robert De Niro and Jenna Ortega are teaming up for a new film titled “Shutout”.

Actress Jenna Ortega is preparing to step behind the camera for the first time, revealing she’s been quietly developing a personal script for nearly a decade. In a recent interview with V Magazine, the “Wednesday” star shared that the story, which she conceived at the beginning of her acting career, now feels ready to come to life.

Netflix has officially announced the release date for “Wednesday” Season 2. The streaming platform strategically revealed the news yesterday—appropriately a Wednesday—alongside the first official trailer and promotional images.

Lionsgate has procured the rights to release "Hurry Up Tomorrow," a much-anticipated musically-driven psychological thriller, in theatres worldwide. Starring Abel Tesfaye, widely recognised as The Weeknd, along with Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan, the film is set to be directed by Trey Edward Shults, acclaimed for his previous film "Waves".

The audience probably won’t find Jenna Ortega donning a tuxedo and sipping martinis in a future “James Bond” film. The star of “Beetlejuice 2” is advocating for women to have their own uniquely crafted action roles, rather than stepping into ones originally designed for male characters. 

The uncertainty with the “Scream” franchise began ever since Melissa Barrera, one of the lead protagonists of the fifth and sixth instalments, was fired from “Scream 7” over her ‘controversial’ social media posts regarding the Israel and Palestine war.

Mexican actress Melissa Barrera, best known for her role as Sam Carpenter in the slasher films “Scream” (2022) and “Scream VI” (2023), has been fired from the next “Scream” film sequel after its makers said her pro-Palestinian social media posts were antisemitic.

Monica Bellucci is reportedly in final negotiations to play Beetlejuice's wife in the upcoming sequel directed by Tim Burton.
