Although Eid-ul-Fitr is still a little while away, audiences are ardently anticipating the films scheduled for release during the festive season.

Nader Chowdhury’s directorial debut “Jinn” created quite a buzz among audiences, with actor Shajal Noor in the lead role. Following its success, “Mona: Jinn-2” was produced, but Shajal was not part of the cast. Now, “Jinn 3” is set to go into production, featuring actor Shajal in the lead, once again.

After nearly a year, Puja Chery returned with a powerhouse performance this Eid-ul-Fitr with her movie “Lipstick”. Despite the film’s limited theatrical release, it has gained praise from many celebrities for its bold and unique concept. This was indeed a challenging year for the actress, as she tragically lost her mother just days before Eid. However, Puja was determined to fulfil her mother’s dream by actively promoting her movie, despite being heartbroken.

Due to the National Parliamentary Elections 2024 and the surge in Bollywood film releases in Bangladesh, producers were waiting for favourable time to release their films. They intend to have a window to acquire profits and the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr seems like a perfect opportunity.

Shajal Noor and Puja Chery’s first film together, “Jinn”, was released during Eid-ul-Fitr.

Even though Bollywood blockbuster “Pathaan” was released earlier, “Jinn” has still managed to run successfully in theatres. Currently, the film is being screened in four halls in the capital, including Cineplex, Jamuna Blockbuster, Lion and BGB Hall. “In the coming Friday, ‘Jinn’ is going to be in its fifth week, it is a joyous moment for the entire team to witness the film being screened in even more halls,” shared the director.

Shajal Noor and Puja Chery’s film, “Jinn”, was released this Eid. After the film’s release, “Jinn” has been performing well in theatres across Dhaka and the rest of the country. The film has been directed by Nader Chowdhury.

Films like “Leader Amie Bangladesh'', "Jinn","Local",”Kill Him” have kept the stream of audiences flowing to the theatres even now. A similar outcome is hoped to be seen for the upcoming films during the next Eid as well.

Having started his acting career on the theatre stage, Nader Chowdhury made his way into the television and cinema screens, acting in numerous tele-fictions and films. As a director, he has also helmed three films so far, including “Lalchor”, “Meyeti Ekhon Kothay Jabe” and “Jinn”, which was released this Eid.

The actor has finally posted pictures of one of the wedding ceremonies today on his Facebook account, captioning it “Now we can hangout forever!”.

“This is a record for ‘Jinn’. The halls are continuously running houseful," shared the director of "Jinn".

The Puja Chery and Shajal Noor starrer, “Jinn”, has been doing great in multiplexes. The film has created a lot of buzz with its BDT 1 lakh challenge, which intrigued many a fan into going and watching the film to find out whether it’s actually scary or not.

Yesterday, Jaaz Multimedia filed a General Diary (GD) at the Hatirjheel police station, complaining about the piracy of their horror film, "Jinn".

Unlike the previous Eid, this one was quite special for the Bangladeshi film industry, as a total of eight films were released in theaters. The movies released were: "Leader Amie Bangladesh", "Jinn", "Kill Him", "Paap", "Shotru", "Prem Pritir Bandhan" and "Adam".

The film is said to be based on real events. Focused on paranormal and supernatural activities, the horror film has been directed by Nader Chowdhury.

Marking Eid-ul-Fitr, three halls in Narayanganj have been reopened on April 22. New Metro Cinema Hall, located in Khanpur, Narayanganj have premiered Shakib Khan and Shobnom Bubly starrer "Leader: Amie Bangladesh".

With the film being screened at multiple theatres today, the "Jinn" star stated "It is amongst my favourite films now, and I hope everyone will watch it in the hall."

While the film’s promotions are already on a high tide, the production house has recently released the video of one of the songs in the movie
