Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) claims to have detained a suspected militant of "Sarwar-Tamim group of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB)" from Abdullahpur area in Dhaka.

Police yesterday claimed that an operative of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) confessed to his involvement in the killing of Rajshahi University teacher Prof AFM Rezaul Karim Siddiquee.

Police arrested a suspected member of Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) at Shajahanpur upazila early yesterday for his alleged involvement in a gun attack on a Shia mosque in Shibganj upazila that left the mosque muezzin dead last year.
