Three separate virtual courts in Dhaka refuse to hold hearings on bail petitions of detained photojournalist Shafiqul Islam Kajol because he has not yet been shown arrested in the three cases filed under the Digital Security Act.

Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed an application to show photojournalist Shafiqul Islam Kajol arrested in a case file under the digital security act.

Fifty-three days after his disappearance, missing photojournalist Shafiqul Islam Kajol was found in Benapole yesterday on World Press Freedom Day, but was subsequently arrested and sent to jail.
