The Supreme Court will today hear two government petitions filed against the High Court bail order of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in a corruption case.

Attorney General Mahbubey Alam says that it depends on the Supreme Court judgement whether BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia can contest the next parliamentary election.

The Supreme Court will deliver its order on four separate petitions over the High Court order that granted bail to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in the Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case in which she was sentenced to five years jail.

The High Court transfers Zia Charitable Trust corruption case against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia from Special Judge Court-3 to Special Judge Court-5.
