Three people, including two suspected drug traders, died in “gunfights” with the police and the Rab in Dhaka, Munshiganj, and Rangpur yesterday.

Two people including a fugitive accused of raping a five-year-old girl in Cox's Bazar were killed in “gunfight” with Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in the last two days.

Two suspected muggers, who were wanted for the murder of ASP Mizanur Rahman Talukder, were killed in a “gunfight” with detectives in the capital's Rupnagar Beribandh area early yesterday, police said.
