Lady Justice statue

It was a peaceful protest procession. The participants were hardly a hundred odd youths who thought the unceremonious removal of Lady Justice's statue from the Supreme Court premises at the ungodly hours didn't go well with the country's secular fabric. Some onlookers, who witnessed the march the next morning advancing towards the capital's Doel Chattar, saw no brick chips or sticks, let alone any arms, in the hands of the protesters.

Cops silence protest over statue removal
The removal of the statue has cast a dark shadow on our face. It is so saddening that the party that led the Liberation War has given in to the demands that go against the very spirit of non-communalism, a core value of the war. Bangabandhu declared that there would be no use of religion in politics, but the exact opposite is happening now. The conduct of the government today is shaming us and letting our heads down.
