Nearly 1.26 lakh acres of khas land emerged in the Bay of Bengal over the last 10 years, Land Minister Shamsur Rahman tells parliament.

Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sharif directed the deputy commissioners to take strict measures against those who illegally extract ‘lakhs of tonnes’ of sand from river beds.
