Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain says waterlogging in Dhaka city will not recur next year as the government has taken a lesson from this year.

The Local Government (amendment) Bill-2015, aimed at holding the municipality polls under party banner, will be passed in the parliament today, LGRD Minister Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain has said.

Journalist Probir Sikder is placed on a three-day remand in connection with the case under Information and Communication Technology Act for “tarnishing the image” of LGRD Minister Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain.
