A half-day hartal, enforced in protest against the arson attacks on ethnic minority in Longadu following death of a Jubo League leader, is underway in Rangamati without any report of untoward incident.

Friday's attack by Bangalee settlers in three villages of Rangamati's Longadu upazila was a planned one to drive indigenous people out of the areas, said a number of victims.
