The cold wave gripping the region has significantly affected the daily lives of residents

Winter made its presence felt in full force as the mercury plunged to a bone-chilling 10.3 degrees Celsius in Panchagarh’s Tentulia early yesterday, marking the lowest temperature in the country so far this season.

The biting cold wave from a week ago has stifled into a mild-to-moderate one and is prevailing through Bangladesh, what is likely to pursue throughout January. In Dhaka too, the cold will prevail for sometime, Met Office says.

The prevailing cold wave sweeping through Bangladesh is likely to stay for two more days before another phase arrives somewhere in the middle of this month.
